The Shire of Harvey is bordered to the north by the Shire of Waroona, to the north-east along the Murray River with the Shire of Boddington, to the south-east by the Shire of Collie, to the south along the Collie River with the Shire of Dardanup, to the south-west by the City of Bunbury, and to the west by the Indian Ocean.
The Shire of Harvey's boundaries encompass an area of
approximately 1,766 square kilometres. The extreme distance
from north to south is approximately 40 kilometres, with the
extreme east-west dimension being approximately 45
kilometres. It has about 43 kilometres of coastline,
virtually uninterrupted beach.
