Smoke Alarms
The installation of hard wired smoke alarms in all new residential buildings within Western Australia is now mandatory.
This requirement extends to additions to existing residential buildings but not to existing buildings.In the interest of your safety, Council urges all of its home owners to install hardwired smoke alarms in their residence and to adopt the 1st of April as the day to replace backup batteries.If you wish to discuss your fire precautions, please contact Council's Building Department on 9729 0300.Related Documents:
