The Shire of Harvey is delighted to welcome new Chief Executive Officer Ms. Annie Riordan who will commence in the position on 13th November, 2018.
Ms. Riordan’s current role is as the Director Corporate and Community Services with the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, where she commenced in November 2010 having a previous background in Local Government and private industry.
Shire President Cr Jackson stated on behalf of Council,
“Council and staff very much look forward to working with Ms Riordan in delivering high quality Local Government for our community”.
Ms. Riordan holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Governance, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with previous local government roles at the Cook Shire Council, Queensland and City of Port Lincoln, South Australia.
Annie has also been involved in Local Government Professionals (LGP) programs in Queensland and represented WA as an international exchange participant to British Colombia, Canada in 2012. In 2014 she travelled on a scholarship to Japan with the CLAIR Local Government Cooperation on an Exchange Seminar. Annie is actively involved with the Local Government Professionals WA Association both at a State level being a member of the State Board and also as an Executive Member with the South West branch.
On a personal note, Annie is married to Patrick and they have four children. Annie loves to travel and to run, sometimes combining both having once run the Tokyo Marathon.
