Within the Shire of Harvey there are seven Caravan Parks and numerous camping grounds (these are managed by the Department of Environment and Conservation).

The Caravan Parks are inspected by Environmental Health Officers for compliance with the Caravan Parks and Camping Ground Act and Regulations.

If you are considering constructing a free standing patio, ensuite, carport or shed you are required to apply for approval from Council’s Building Department (application BA2 Application for Building Permit – Uncertified).

If you are considering constructing a transportable park home and rigid annexe you are required to apply for approval from Council’s Health Department (Application to Construct a Transportable Park Home onto a Caravan Park or Application to Construct a Rigid annexe Adjacent to a Caravan).

However prior to seeking Council approval please discuss your proposal with the Caravan Park manager. All applications require written approval from the Caravan Park owner or manager.
