Depending on the nature and scale of the proposal, advertising will consist of various forms of announcement, which can include newspaper, letters to landowners and internet based information.

DISTRICT PLANNING SCHEME NO. 1 - AMENDMENT NO. 102
Notice is hereby given that the Local Government of the Shire of Harvey has prepared Amendment No. 102 to the Shire of Harvey District Planning Scheme No. 1 for the purpose of:
The landowner has obtained planning approvals from Council and the Western Australian Planning Commission so that portion of the land can be used as an Eating House (bakery). The proposal is to widen the range of land uses permitted so that the land functions as a Rural Tourist Centre, consisting of: Arts and Photography Studio for the purpose of making and selling products; Tourist Retail (maximum floorspace of 250m2 net leasable area); Tourist Information Office; Licensed Restaurant; Eating House, including the sale of takeaway food; special events, functions and concerts; public rest area facilities; Tavern (excluding a drive-thru and betting agency); Animal Petting Enclosures; and Tourist Accommodation (subject to preparation of a Detailed Area Plan in accordance with Clause 9.14.8).
Documents setting out and explaining the proposal are available for inspection at the Harvey and Australind Administration Offices or can be downloaded from the link below. Any comments must be made in writing and lodged with the undersigned by no later than 4.00pm on 28th June, 2012. Submissions can be emailed to shire@harvey.wa.gov.au, faxed to 9729 2053, sent via the post to PO Box 500, Harvey, WA, 6220 or submitted in person at either our Australind or Harvey Administration Offices.
THIS AMENDMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND IT SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED THAT FINAL APPROVAL WILL BE GRANTED.
