Dog Pound
Have you lost your dog?
Maybe we have it in safe custody. Contact 9729 0300 during business hours to see if your dog has been impounded. Pound facility is open Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for collection of impounded animals, outside these hours is by appointment only with the Ranger on duty.

How do I get my dog out of the pound?
You will need to pay poundage (and registration if your dog is not currently registered) at the Shire Offices (Harvey Office -102 Uduc Road, Harvey and Australind Sub Office - Mulgara Street Australind). Once paid, arrangements will be made for a Ranger to meet you at the pound to release your dog. The Shire Pound is located at the Shire's Works Depot Facility, Weir Road Harvey.
How much does it cost?
Day one $52 poundage plus $12 sustenance per day.
Poundage goes up daily by the $12 sustenance fee.
Reminder: If your dog isn't registered you will also need to add the appropiate registration charge.
Dogs Re Homing Register
The Shire of Harvey runs a Dog Re Homing Register to provide the community with the opportunity to re home unclaimed dogs. Your contact details and specific requirements e. g. breed or size of dog will be recorded on the register. Contact will be made with you once a dog comes in meeting your description and is in need of a good home. If you require further information regarding the Dog Re Homing Register please contact the number below.
