Customer Service Officer - Casual

We are seeking applications for Customer Service Officers who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to join our team on a casual basis.

The Customer Service Officer will be responsible for processing Shire and Department of Transport financial transactions and enquiries, which requires well developed computer and office skills. This position will suit a person who has excellent customer service skills, cash receipting experience and be able to confidently communicate verbally and in writing with a diverse range of customers.

Position Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need the following:

  • Previous experience in a finance, administration or customer service role.
  • Demonstrated high level customer service, internal and external.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in collection of monies and accounts receivable functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to solve problems through discussion, negotiation and teamwork.
  • Strong personal organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary Level 4 ($39.27 per hour) inclusive of 20% casual loading.

Prior to appointment, the Officer will be required to undertake a medical examination with a doctor of choice at Shire’s cost.  The appointment to the position is not confirmed until a medical is completed including Shire’s standard questionnaire and accepted in accordance with Shire Policy.

A Police Clearance will be required to be provided to the Shire prior to confirmation of appointment not more than three months old, at the Shire’s cost.
