{"id":2090,"date":"2025-08-27T16:45:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T08:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.harvey.wa.gov.au\/harveyrec\/facilities\/function-room\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T14:47:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T06:47:32","slug":"function-room","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.harvey.wa.gov.au\/harveyrec\/facilities\/function-room","title":{"rendered":"Function Room"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"basic-content aw-layout     \" style=\"\">\n\n    \n\n    <div class=\"container\">\n                    <div class=\"aw-layout-content wysiwyg\">\n                <div data-aos=\"fade-up\">\n                    <p>Perfect for quiz nights, birthday parties and weddings, workshops and meetings, the Function Room accommodates up to 270 people and can be configured to suit your event needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Room setups can accommodate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Theatre style: 270 people<\/li>\n<li>Cabaret style with a dance floor: 150 people<\/li>\n<li>Cabaret style with no dance floor: 200 people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Function Room can also be divided into two separate rooms for smaller groups and breakout rooms.<\/p>\n<p>For your guest\u2019s comfort, room hire includes use of the kitchen facilities, reverse cycle air conditioning and toilet facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Items included when hiring the Function Room:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hot water urn<\/li>\n<li>Tea, coffee, sugar and milk<\/li>\n<li>Crockery and cutlery<\/li>\n<li>Glasses and carafes for wine and beer<\/li>\n<li>Mobile Baine Marie, with a 15-amp extension cord<\/li>\n<li>Audio-visual system including cordless and corded microphones, projector and screen, laptop<\/li>\n<li>Three-phase power point<\/li>\n<li>Round or rectangular tables<\/li>\n<li>Cream or cushioned black chairs<\/li>\n<li>Cool room and bar area<\/li>\n<li>Barbeque<\/li>\n<li>Stage area<\/li>\n<li>Large double door fridge in main kitchen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Access, set up and pack down for private parties<\/h2>\n<p>For your convenience, hiring the Function Room includes ample access and set up time.<\/p>\n<p>A 50% deposit is to be paid when you book the venue.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be provided a key and temporary security code to access the venue at a mutually suitable time. When you book your function, the Functions Coordinator will let you know where to return the key once the venue has been cleaned.<\/p>\n<p>Functions can be set up during HRCC open hours. A staff member will be on duty and will show you the facilities.<\/p>\n<p>After your function, you\u2019re encouraged to pick up any remaining items on the next business day. Any final clean up should be completed during this time too.<\/p>\n<h2>Condition of hire<\/h2>\n<p>Adhesive tape is not to be used on any Court floors or Function Room dance floor.<\/p>\n<p>It is a requirement of hire that all areas used by your function are cleaned and tidied. Tables and chairs must be returned to their storage areas, and glasses and crockery put away.<\/p>\n<p>Please vacuum carpets, and sweep and mop the floors.<\/p>\n<p>Bottles, cans and all other rubbish is to be placed in the bins outside. Please do not leave any rubbish in the kitchen or the Function Room.<\/p>\n<p>If any additional cleaning including steam cleaning is required, a cleaning fee of $100 may be charged.<\/p>\n<h2>Liquor Licenses<\/h2>\n<p>If you intend to sell alcohol at your event, you will need to secure an Occasional Liquor License.<\/p>\n<p>Call <a href=\"tel:97220443\">9722 0443<\/a>, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dlgsc.wa.gov.au\/department\/sign-in\/racing-gaming-and-liquor-portal\/online-lodgement-guides\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Racing Gaming and Liquor online<\/a>, or visit the Bunbury Court House to obtain a license.<\/p>\n<p>If you will be making alcohol available at your function, whether sold or provided free of charge, please notify the Harvey Police in advance.<\/p>\n<p>Call<a href=\"tel:%2097824111\"> 9782 4111<\/a> to advise the police of your function details.<\/p>\n<p>All venue hirers must comply with the provisions of the <em>Liquor Act<\/em>, <em>Health Act<\/em>, <em>Police Act<\/em> and <em>Criminal Act<\/em>.
