PROPOSALTHE PROMENADE – GRAND ENTRANCE TO THE BOULEVARD, AUSTRALIND – PROPOSED TIME RESTRICTED ON ROAD PARKING
CONSULTATION PERIOD

30 SEPTEMBER 2024 – 21 OCTOBER 2024

Background

The Promenade in Australind currently has 97 parking bays made up of a mix of 90-degree angle parking bays and parallel parking bays.

There are approved plans to change the configuration of The Promenade to separate the parking area from the through road to improve safety for motorists and to improve east/west traffic flow along this District Distributor Road (refer plans below).

Current Proposal

The current proposal is to apply time restricted parking in the ‘current’ road configuration and adjust this accordingly when the road reconfiguration project, mentioned above, is implemented.

The proposed time restrictions are as follows (refer plan below)

  • 1P (1 hour) time restriction to be enforce daily between 8.00am to 6.00pm in the parallel parking bays.
  • 2P (2 hour) time restriction to be enforce daily between 8.00am to 6.00pm in the 90-degree angle parking bays.
  • Two, 2.5 ACROD bays to be included near the main entrance of the shopping centre.
