2013 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION

At the close of nominations on Thursday 12th September 2013, six (6) nominations were received for the six (6) vacancies on the Council of the Shire of Harvey.  As a result, the persons listed below have been elected unopposed for four (4) year terms expiring on 21st October 2017.

Greg Campbell
Phil Giancono
Derrek Simpson
Bill Adams

The terms of the newly elected Councillors commence on 19th October 2013.  All newly elected Councillors will be sworn in at a Special Council meeting on Monday 21st October 2013.

Retiring Councillors, Susan Marshall, Elaine Hill and Robert Bertolini did not seek re-election.

A Breath of Fresh Air

This website is designed to assist the local community, businesses and visitors to the region. Encompassing an area of approximately 1,766 km2 and a growing population of 25,924 (ABS, June 2013) the Shire of Harvey is located in the South West region of Western Australia, a leisurely one and a half hours drive from Perth.

The Shire of Harvey’s main Administration Centre is located on Uduc Road, Harvey and a Sub Administration Office on Mulgara Street, Australind.

Town Hall 100 Year Centenary Celebrations

Past and present Harvey residents are invited to Harvey Town Hall on Tuesday, July 8th at 2pm

to celebrate 100 years since the official opening of the Hall. 

View more than 1,000 photos of Harvey taken over 100 years.

Wearing of 1914 fashions welcome.

Afternoon tea provided.  Followed by a Shire Council meeting in the Lessor Hall at 4:00pm

WASTE & RECYCLING COLLECTIONS

The Shire of Harvey's Kerbside Waste and Recycling collection contractor is Warren Blackwood Waste. Enquiries concerning missed services and bin maintenance, please contact Warren Blackwood Waste on Ph: 1800 049 193.

Please note that all bins should be out for collection before 6am on scheduled collection days.
