Harvey Community Budget Submission

Each year the Shire of Harvey invites budget submissions from local community groups and organisations for activities and projects that meet the needs of the community. The aim of the Shire Budget Submissions is to strengthen and celebrate the diverse communities within the Shire of Harvey. Each submission is considered on it’s own merits.

 Submissions closed at 4.00pm Thursday, 20th April 2017.


Community Benefits Package

Budget submissions for the Community Benefits Package from community, environmental and sporting organisations for community development and infrastructure projects in and around the town sites of Binningup and Myalup closed at 4.00 pm Thursday, 20th April 2017.

With input from the Community Reference Group and as a result of the construction of the Southern Seawater Desalination Plant, the Shire of Harvey have entered into an agreement with the Water Corporation to develop a Community Benefits Package. The funding is to be used for projects that will have ongoing benefits to the communities of Binningup and Myalup.


Grant Funding

Grant funding can be a great way for communities to build their capacity and fund worthy projects.  There are a wide range of funding opportunities available to support new and established groups, both via the Shire of Harvey Community Budget Submissions and a large number of funding bodies within and outside the community.

The Department of Local Government has a grants directory which contains programs provided by the West Australian Government as well as private sector organisations.
