The Shire of Harvey celebrated the people and partnerships that support cultural learning and friendship in the Harvey Region at a special NAIDOC Week dinner on Friday, 10 July 2026.
Delivered in collaboration with the Harvey Aboriginal Corporation, the event marked several important milestones, including the third anniversary of Boola Bidi Dreaming and the seventh anniversary of the Harvey Aboriginal Corporation.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to recognise Elders and community leaders for their contributions to the Harvey Region and their ongoing partnership with the Shire of Harvey.
Framed certificates of appreciation were presented to:
- Greg Little OAM
- Margaret Little
- Lesley Ugle
- Vincent Ugle
A certificate will also be presented to Dennis Jetta OAM.
Meanwhile guests enjoyed a Welcome to Country, cultural performances, a curated photo slideshow and a cultural film.
The Shire of Harvey thanks the Harvey Aboriginal Corporation, community leaders, performers, volunteers and attendees who contributed to the success of the event and helped make this year’s NAIDOC Week celebrations a memorable occasion.
