Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre (HRCC) Manager David Marshall OAM has added another accolade to an impressive career in arts and culture, taking home the People’s Pinnacle Award at the 2026 Pinnacle Awards.
Presented by CircuitWest, the award celebrates David’s longstanding contribution to Western Australia’s performing arts sector and his work to establish the HRCC as a destination for arts experiences.
David has managed the HRCC since 2005, helping build its performing arts program and bring professional productions and touring artists to local audiences.
Over the years, David’s work has helped strengthen the HRCC’s place in WA’s regional arts network and create more opportunities for people in the Harvey Region to experience live performance close to home.
The award continues a strong history of recognition for both David and the HRCC.
David was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2019 for his service to the Harvey community, while the HRCC was named WA Presenter of the Year at the 2021 Pinnacle Awards.
His contribution to community life also extends into broadcasting. As a founding member and former Chair of Harvey Community Radio, David was inducted into the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s Community Broadcasting Honour Roll in 2024.
The latest recognition comes as the HRCC continues to grow its arts and cultural offering, supported by $210,000 over three years through the State Government’s Regional Arts Venues Support program.
Congratulations to David on a well-deserved achievement and for his many years of work bringing arts, culture and entertainment to the Harvey Region.
