General
Date
23 September 2026

The Long Term Financial Plan was adopted at the 22 September 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting.

Council has adopted the Shire of Harvey’s Long Term Financial Plan, providing a financial roadmap to guide  planning and investment over the next 10 years.

The Plan considers the needs and priorities of the community, the expected cost of delivering them and how the Shire can plan for these commitments in a financially sustainable way.

It includes long-term financial planning for the services and infrastructure our community relies on every day, including roads, parks, waste management and community facilities, as well as investment in major projects.

The Plan also considers external factors that can influence the Shire’s finances over time, including population growth, inflation and increasing utility costs. Where possible, current government economic data has been used to forecast how these costs may change.

By looking ahead over a 10-year period, the Plan helps the Shire make informed decisions about future spending, investment and priorities while balancing community needs with what can be sustainably afforded.
