Access and Inclusion

At the Shire of Harvey, we have an ongoing aspiration to becoming the most accessible community in regional Western Australia. Our Access and Inclusion Plan Even Better, Together 2021-2026 is the first part of our road map in reaching towards that vision. As we embark on this journey, working with our access community plays an important role in collaboratively shaping an accessible and inclusive future for everyone.

For further information refer to the Access and Inclusion plan.

Access and Inclusion Advisory Group

Advisory Groups are one way for the Shire to bring together key stakeholders together.

The Access and Inclusion Advisory Group concentrates on matters related to improving access, inclusion, and participation for all community members, with a particular focus on people with disabilities, older adults, and other marginalised or disadvantaged groups.

The group does this by advocating for and promoting accessibility and inclusion, identifying barriers, recommending solutions and  fostering collaboration between the Shire, community members, and stakeholders to enhance community awareness and understanding of inclusion and accessibility.

If you are a person living with disability, a Carer or a disability industry stakeholder and you would like to know more about this being a member of this Advisory Group please email communitydevelopment@harvey.wa.gov.au
