Every year several scholarships are offered to Shire residents aged 15 to 25 years to participate in a Youth Explorer Voyage onboard the sailing ship STS Leeuwin II.
Every year several scholarships are offered to Shire residents aged 15 to 25 years via the Leeuwin Sail Training Program, to participate in a Youth Explorer Voyage onboard the sailing ship STS Leeuwin II.
In December 2021 four young Shire residents sailed from Fremantle and in January 2022, another six young participants set sail in Bunbury.
The Leeuwin Sail Training Program began in 1989 with Shire residents sponsored by the Shire of Harvey, the Rotary Club of Harvey and the Lions Clubs of Harvey, Brunswick and Australind.
