COVID-19 Response Grants assist businesses and community groups in the Shire.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Shire of Harvey Council approved two rounds of COVID-19 Response Grants to assist the community and local businesses.
The Shire is pleased to have distributed more than $35,000 to community groups and more than $11,000 to local businesses.
Harvey Cheese were one of the recipients of a COVID-19 Response Grant and have been able to install new automatic doors at the shop.
Harvey Cheese owners Penny and Robert St Duke said they were very grateful for the grant which has had a positive impact on their business, making it more accessible and user friendly.
They said given the circumstances of this difficult year, they were grateful for the support.
Shire of Harvey President Paul Gillett said the response grants were one way the Shire was helping boost the local economy and it was important to support our local businesses and community groups as they are what keep our community together.
