Any assertions about the Shire’s role in the production, circulation and display of a bogus flyer are entirely baseless and false.
An official complaint has been lodged to the Electoral Commission in regards to a bogus flyer that has been circulated in the community.
Shire of Harvey President Paul Gillett said any assertions about the Shire’s role in the production, circulation and display of the flyer are entirely baseless and false.
"The Shire is apolitical and does not endorse or support any political candidate or party," Cr Gillett said. "The Shire did not pay for, produce or advertise this flyer.
"We have sought legal advice relating to the allegations and brought it to the attention of the police."
