The Shire can impose penalties ranging from $200 to $500 for an individual and $500 to $2000 for a body corporate. Additionally, a court can impose a penalty of up to $5000. Community members that wish to report an illegal dumping incident should take note of date and time, vehicle type and registration number, description of the alleged offender and location of the incident. Illegal dumping can be reported through the Shire of Harvey website or through the Keep Australia Beautiful website.
