The Shire of Harvey has launched two new heritage trails designed to encourage visitors to explore Brunswick Junction.

The Shire of Harvey has launched two new heritage trails designed to encourage visitors to explore Brunswick Junction, discover its history and spend more time experiencing the area.

Developed under the Shire’s Economic Development Strategy We Are Forward 2031, the new Brunswick Heritage Walk Trail and Brunswick Heritage Drive Trail showcase the stories, landmarks and local characters that have helped shape the town and surrounding district.

The self-guided Brunswick Heritage Walk Trail takes visitors through the heart of town, highlighting sites including the historic railway precinct, heritage churches, the Brunswick River and other important community landmarks.

For those wanting to explore further afield, the Brunswick Heritage Drive Trail takes visitors through the surrounding hinterland, passing some of the district’s historic farms, properties and places.

The trails were developed with valuable assistance from Harvey History Online and Brunswick Junction residents, whose local knowledge helped bring the area’s stories and history to life.

Community members and visitors can download the trail map or pick up a brochure from the Shire of Harvey Administration Centres.

The new trails will also be promoted through tourism campaigns, newsletters and industry channels, as well as the upcoming Harvey Region Heritage Festival 2026, helping showcase Brunswick Junction and its heritage to a wider audience.
