Community Citizen of the Year Awards celebrate individuals and groups who make the Harvey Region a better place to live.
Nominations are now open!
There are four award categories:
- Community Citizen of the Year (for individuals over 16 years)
- Young Community Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged 16-30 years)
- Senior Community Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged 65 years and over)
- Active Citizenship (for community groups or events)
Nominations can be made for contributions to education, health, fundraising, voluntary services, business, sports, arts, the environment, social inclusion or any other area that enhances community wellbeing.

The award recipients will be announced at the Shire’s 2027 Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards ceremony on 26 January 2027.
