Australind Administration Centre Expansion

Project Overview

The Australind Administration Centre Expansion aims to enhance the capacity, functionality, and public-facing experience of the organisation’s main administration facilities. It will expand the employee workspace into a high-performing area to accommodate the Shire’s growing workforce, improve the customer service area and restore the Australind Council Chambers.

This initiative aims to promote mental wellbeing, increase productivity, and improve overall employee satisfaction.

The project will include:

  • Enhancing the office layout to maximise natural light and optimise existing floor space
  • Addressing existing layout constraints of the Customer Service area for better integration between transport licensing and customer service.
  • Redesigning workflows and physical layouts to co-locate related services, supported by shared digital systems and unified signage
  • Restoration of the Australind Council Chambers to a usable Chamber/Meeting space for Council meetings and community meetings
Funding

The budget for this project is $2,000,000, which is Shire-funded as part of the 2025/2026 financial year budget.

Strategic Alignment

The project aligns with the Shire of Harvey Council Plan 2025-2035:

  • Objective 15: Ensure Shire facilities, buildings, gardens and grounds are fit for purpose and well maintained.
