Applications to participate in the Youth Explorer Voyage are now open.
Every year several scholarships are offered to residents aged 15 to 25 years to sail the Indian Ocean onboard the STS Leeuwin II for six nights and seven days. It’s the perfect chance for young people to develop leadership and teamwork skills on the high seas.
We want to get as many young people on deck as possible, so we’ve moved to rolling applications with no set deadline.
The Leeuwin Sail Training Program began in 1989 and is managed by the Shire of Harvey, with the valuable support of the Rotary Club of Harvey and the Lions Clubs of Harvey, Brunswick and Australind.
Each scholarship application is assessed by the Community Sail Training Trust Advisory Group.
