Increase of fees effective as of 1 July 2025 – 2026 Schedule of Fees & Charges
Building work for Class 1 – 10 building or incidental structure
- Application fee:
- Building Classes 1 and 10: 0.19% of estimated value of works, min fee payable $110
- Building Classes 2 – 9: 0.09% of estimated value of works, min fee payable $110
- Building Services Levy:
- Work value $45,000 or less: $61.65
- Work value over $45,000: 0.137% of estimated value of works
- Construction Training Fund Levy (payable only if value of works is more than $20,000):
- 0.2% of estimated value of works.
Note: If works are under $20,000 estimated value, the minimum fee is $171.65.
Compliance inspection for new pool – Swimming Pool Barrier Fencing (fee added to all new Building Permits for Barrier Fencing included): $312
Building permit application: BA2 Uncertified
Building work for Class 1 – 10 building or incidental structure
- Application fee:
- Building Classes 1 and 10: 0.32% of estimated value of works, min fee payable $110
- Building Services Levy:
- Mininmum fee of $61.65 or 0.137% of estimated value of works over $45,000
- Construction Training Fund Levy (payable only if value of works is more than $20,000):
- 0.2% of estimated value of works.
Note: If works are under $20,000 estimated value, the minimum fee is $171.65.
Compliance inspection for new pool – Swimming Pool Barrier Fencing (fee added to all new Building Permits for Barrier Fencing included): $312
Demolition permit application: BA5
Demolition work in respect of Class 1 – 10 building or incidental structure
- Application fee:
- Building Classes 1 and 10: $110
- Building Classes 2 – 9: $110 for each storey of the building
- Building Services Levy:
- Mininmum fee of $61.65 or 0.137% of estimated value of works over $45,000
- Construction Training Fund Levy (payable only if value of works is more than $20,000):
- 0.2% of estimated value of works.
Note: If works are under $20,000 estimated value, the minimum fee is $171.65.
Occupancy permit application: BA9
- Standard occupancy permit: $110
- Certifcate of construction compliance (BA17): $600
- Certificate of construction compliance (BA17) inspection: $400
- Unauthorised occupancy permit: $110 plus Building Services Levy: $61.65
Unauthorised building works: BA13
Retrospective building approval for unauthorised building work Classes 1-10:
- Application fee:
- Building Classes 1 and 10: 0.38% value of work incl. GST (minimum $110)
- Building Classes 2 – 9: 0.18% value of work incl. GST (minimum $110)
- Building Services Levy:
- Minimum fee of $123.30 or 0.274% of estimated value of works over $45,000
- Construction Training Fund Levy (payable only if value of works is more than $20,000):
- 0.2% of estimated value of works.
- Certificate of building compliance (BA18): $630
- Inspection fee of building compliance (BA18): $400
- Any additional inspection required: $182
