The Australind, Brunswick Junction, and Roelands communities are invited to participate in the 2025/26 Showerhead Swap Program, a waterwise initiative proudly supported by Water Corporation.
What is the Showerhead Swap program?
It is a waterwise initiative from Water Corporation that allows residents in eligible regional towns to swap old inefficient showerheads for up to two new WELS 4 star rated (7.5L/min) efficient showerheads – for free!
The Corporation is offering the Program to improve water efficiency. We use a lot of water in the bathroom, and showers make up to 22% of household water use. By simply switching to water efficient showerheads, residents can save up to 20,000 litres of water each year.
The program will run from 1 September 2025 to 31 May 2026, subject to stock availability.
What is the swap process?
- It’s important that you read and understand the terms and conditions before removing your showerhead(s).
- You must attend a local Exchange Point at Australind Library to present your old showerheads with a copy of a recent bill from the Corporation in your name and to collect your new showerheads.
- A maximum of two old showerheads can be swapped for two new showerheads for each residential property during the Program Period.
- Once your old showerhead is accepted by the Exchange Point, the old showerhead becomes the property of the Corporation and cannot be returned to you.
Important: We recommend that you contact Australind Library on 9797 4590 before removing the old showerheads to ensure that the new showerheads are still available.
