Fun for you and your pooch

We are creating a fully enclosed dog exercise park! This will be a safe and fun space for our furry friends to enjoy some tail-wagging adventures.

The Enclosed Dog Exercise Area Implementation includes a fenced in dog park, drinking fountain, dog bowl and associated path access.

Council Supports the establishment of an Enclosed Dog Park in the southern section of Meriden Park.
December 2024
Community consultation and feedback on proposed Meriden Park Master Plan including Enclosed Dog Park.
January 2025
Meriden Park Masterplan and Enclosed Dog Park endorsed by Council.
March 2025
Site surveyed and services identified.
May 2025
To prepare the site for its new purpose, the ground has been mowed, scarified, and top-dressed with sand to create a more even and suitable surface. These foundational works are critical in ensuring the area is both safe and accessible.
June 2025
Contractors appointed for fencing.
August 2025
Fencing to commence.
September 2025
Concrete hardstand and path.
October 2025
Water connected to Pet Friendly Drink Station.
November 2025
Open to the public.
