Coordinator Assets
Play a key role in coordinating and maintaining asset management systems across the Shire’s infrastructure portfolio.
This is an exciting time to join our Infrastructure Directorate team as we expand our capabilities to meet the growing demands. Due to capacity improvements, we are growing our team. This new role will be pivotal in ensuring we can continue to deliver high-quality outcomes as our directorate grows.
Do you have?
- A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience of at least three years in infrastructure asset management, data coordination, or lifecycle planning.
- Proficiency in asset management or GIS systems (such as AssetFinda, Intramaps or equivalent).
The Coordinator Assets is responsible for coordinating and maintaining Shire’s asset management systems, data, and processes to support effective infrastructure planning, maintenance, and renewal.
Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure Services, the position provides leadership in lifecycle asset planning, data quality, valuation, and reporting across the Shire’s infrastructure portfolio. The role ensures that asset management practices are aligned with the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, ISO 55000 principles, and the Shire’s Asset Management Strategy.

Benefits and conditions
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary range between Level 9 ($107,712 to $113,680) per annum depending on qualifications and experience and benefits such as:
- Superannuation of 12 per cent occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee’s voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided that employee contributes an amount of at least 5 per cent or 6 per cent of their own salary.
- Full-time position, located at the Harvey Administration Building.
- One rostered day off is available after every 19 working days. Rostered days off cannot be accumulated.
- Four weeks paid annual leave, including a 17.5 per cent leave loading.
- Private use of a Shire vehicle in accordance with Shire Policy.
- A mobile phone for business use in accordance with Shire Policy.
- Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.
- A probationary period of three months is applicable to the position.
- A medical examination and current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
