About the book:
Set in the rugged landscape of World War II-era Western Australia, this heartwarming novel tells the story of Giuseppe "Joe" Russo, an Italian soldier held as a prisoner in the Marrinup camp, and Margaret "Maggie" Sleeman, a spirited young woman determined to escape from societal norms.
