Do you have?
- Experience and knowledge in construction and maintenance standards methods and practices of parks, sport fields, streetscapes and reserves.
- Qualifications in Horticulture or similar of a lesser formal qualification with extensive relevant experience.
- Experience operating ride on mowers and tractors.

This position is responsible for undertaking projects and tasks in the development and maintenance of the Shire’s parks, gardens, sporting ovals and other public infrastructure to set standards in a safe and efficient manner.
To be successful in this role you will hold an MR Class Drivers Licence, be organised and have the ability to work autonomously in a team environment.

Benefits and Conditions
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Municipal Employees’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary payable for this position of Level 4 ($67,915 to $69,960) per annum, depending on qualifications and experience and benefits such as:
- Superannuation of 12 per cent occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee’s voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided that employee contributes an amount of at least 5 per cent or 6 per cent of their own salary.
- Full-time position 76.50 hours per fortnight. Hours of work are from 7.00am to 4.00pm per day Monday to Friday with a 9 day fortnight.
- Four weeks paid annual leave, including a 17.5 per cent leave loading.
- A probationary period of three months is applicable to this position.
- Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.
- A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
