This role actively supports the development and delivery of business, economic and tourism development strategies and projects which underpin business growth, economic sustainability and employment throughout the Harvey Region.

Benefits and conditions

Conditions of employment are prescribed by the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary payable for this position of Level 7 $92,816 to $97,556 per annum pro-rata, depending on qualifications and experience:

  • Superannuation of 12 per cent occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee’s voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided that employee contributes an amount of at least 5 per cent or 6 per cent of their own salary.
  • A mobile phone for business use in accordance with Shire Policy.
  • A probationary period of three months is applicable to this position.
  • Part-time, job share position, 32 hours per fortnight located at the Harvey Administration or Australind Administration Buildings. You may be required to work at other locations throughout the Shire as directed by your reporting officer.
  • Four weeks pro-rata paid annual leave, including a 17.5 per cent leave loading.
  • Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.    
  • A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
