There are no fire restrictions on burning until 1 November 2025. However, if the Fire Danger Rating is High or above and/or a Total Fire Ban has been put in place then no burning is permitted.

The bore at Galway Green is now up and running.
The bore at Galway Green in Australind is now up and running. Earlier last year, the bore collapsed and the Shire of Harvey quickly sought tenders for the construction of a new bore.
Western Irrigation began drilling works for the bore in November 2022. Shortly after, a new bore pump and associated electrical works were undertaken over a two week period. Test pumping occurred just before Christmas and excellent results were recorded.
