There are no fire restrictions on burning until 1 November 2025. However, if the Fire Danger Rating is High or above and/or a Total Fire Ban has been put in place then no burning is permitted.

Shire Rangers will begin firebreaks inspection on 1 December 2024.
The Shire of Harvey is currently in the Restricted Burning Period, effective until midnight on 14 December 2024 (subject to change).
During this period, Permits to burn are required and must be obtained from the Bush Fire Control Officer.
Starting 1 December 2024, our Rangers will begin inspecting firebreaks and will continue to monitor compliance throughout the fire season.
