Re-endorsed as Waterwise Council

We have been endorsed as a Waterwise Council for the fourth year in a row!

The Waterwise Program is run by the Water Corporation and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.

It supports local governments to improve water efficiency across their operations and communities.

We have been very active in this space. Most recently, we have:

• Upgraded our irrigation systems to be be more efficient
• Grouped plants with similar watering requirements together to conserve water
• Made sure WaterWise principles are reflected in our land use planning.

We joined the Program in 2022.
