Progress is continuing on the Cathedral Avenue Shared Path Project.
The Shire is moving forward with the next steps of the Cathedral Avenue Shared Path project. At the 25 February 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council directed the Shire to acquire land in Leschenault to accommodate the construction of the missing Cathedral Avenue shared path link. If land acquisition is successful, the Shire will also built interpretive signage and seating for the comfort of community members and visitors. The Cathedral Avenue Shared Path project is designed to improve connectivity by linking existing cyclist and pedestrian pathways in Australind. Upgrades will also improve safety in the area. The project is supported by the Department of Transport.
