There are no fire restrictions on burning until 1 November 2025. However, if the Fire Danger Rating is High or above and/or a Total Fire Ban has been put in place then no burning is permitted.

Shire of Harvey’s draft Council Plan is now open for public comment
Shire of Harvey’s draft Council Plan is now open for public comment, from July 23 to August 13.
This plan was developed with extensive engagement from our communities, Council and leadership, to set out key priorities for 2025-2035. A big thank you to everyone who got involved by completing a MARKYT Community Scorecard, or attending a FUTYR workshop.
Now is your chance to review the plan again before it’s finalised. The plan is available for viewing by:
Any comments on the Draft Council Plan must be made in writing and submitted no later than 4pm, Wednesday 13 August 2025.

After the public comment period closes, we will assess all feedback provided for any potential amendments to the plan. The Draft Plan will then be taken to Council for adoption on August 26.
