There are no fire restrictions on burning until 1 November 2025. However, if the Fire Danger Rating is High or above and/or a Total Fire Ban has been put in place then no burning is permitted.

The Shire of Harvey will be generating a list of available contractors to distribute to ratepayers to assist in the compliance of the Shire’s Firebreak Notice on private property.
To meet the requirements, you must be a suitably qualified contractor, have the necessary equipment to carry out the installation of compliant firebreaks, slashing of properties and hold a current Certificate of Insurance. To be included on the Firebreak Contractor List, please contact Ranger Services on 9729 0333 or via email shire@harvey.wa.gov.au for further information. Please submit your details before Tuesday 30 July 2025 to be included on the Firebreak Contractor List. The list of Firebreak Contractors will be provided to property owners on request for information purposes only. The Shire of Harvey will not accept any responsibility for making this information available or any acts or omissions of the hire of any equipment or money owed.
