We are now in the Unrestricted Burning Period.

There are no fire restrictions on burning until 1 November 2025. However, if the Fire Danger Rating is High or above and/or a Total Fire Ban has been put in place then no burning is permitted.

Heritage Signs Complete!

Heritage Signs Complete!
20 Jun 2025

This initiative is part of our growing heritage and culture offering, and is designed to preserve and promote local history.

Visitors and community members can now take a walk through time following the installation of our heritage trail signage in Australind and Leschenault.

The trails, which are being delivered by the Destination Harvey Region team, weave their way along the Leschenault Estuary, Australind township and beyond, highlighting key people, places and stories that have shaped our community.

The initiative is part of our growing heritage and culture offering, and is designed to preserve and promote local history.

Visitors and history buffs can enjoy the trails now, but we plan to officially complete the project once a trail header and information map is installed at the Ridley Place Foreshore north car park.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates!
