Photo Competition for Children

Australind Library is holding a 'Nature Click' photo competition for children during June 2023. 

Children aged 5 to 12 are invited to submit their photographs of any natural subject, such as plants, insects, animals, landscapes, or weather, to Australind Library for a chance to win a prize. 

The competition opens at 9 am on Thursday, 1 June 2023 and closes at 5 pm on Friday, 30 June 2023.

Prizes will be given for two age groups: age 5 to 7 years and age 8 to 12 years.

First prize is a Gift Card valued at $50, second prize is valued at $25 and all participants will receive a certificate.

Winners will be notified by phone or email on Friday, 7 July 2023.

How to enter

• Entry forms can be collected from the Australind Library.
• Bring your photographs and entry form to the library.
• Entry forms and photos can be emailed to the library at astaff@harvey.wa.gov.au for printing.

Entry requirements

• Maximum of two entries per person.
• Theme is ‘Nature click’ and may include any natural subject, such as plants, insects, animals, landscapes, or weather. No people please.
• Photographs must not have any text added to the image (e.g. no names, dates, or signatures) and must not depict illegal activities.
• All images must be the entrant's own work.
• The entrant takes full responsibility for ensuring that any persons depicted in their images give permission for their likeness to be used according to the terms and conditions of the competition.
• Copyright remains with the photographer, however by entering the competition, the photographer gives the Shire of Harvey Libraries a license to use the photographs and the entrant’s full name for promotional purposes, including publication in online and print media.
• No previously published or prized winning entries to be submitted.
• Entrants must have permission to enter from a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians must complete the permission section on the entry form agreeing to the terms and conditions. 
• By submitting an entry form, entrants signify that they have read and agreed to the competition terms and guidelines.
