Shire of Harvey Libraries will celebrate Adult Learners Week 2023 with free community events this September.

As part of the Adult Learners Week celebrations, Australind and Harvey libraries will hold free community events this September. 

Australind Library

  • Tuesday, 5 September at 1.30pm - ‘3D Discoveries’ event. A fun and interactive workshop where you can learn how to use a 3D printer and try a virtual reality headset.
  • Thursday, 7 September at 1.30pm - ‘Cricut Creations’ event. Learn how to use the Cricut software and machine to create beautiful cards for any occasion.
  • Friday, 8 September at 11am - Justice of the Peace information session. Discover the responsibilities and functions of a Justice of the Peace (JP). If you're seeking document witnessing or certification, please come prepared. Remember to bring:
    • Your photo ID
    • Original documents
    • Your own copies

Harvey Library

  • Monday, 4 September at 12noon - “Arty Neighbours” event. Connect with fellow artists and creatives over a special lunch.
  • Tuesday, 5 September at 11am - “Indigenous Art with Ninette” Workshop. Discover the beauty of local art in this hands-on workshop.
  • Thursday, 7 September at 12noon - “Lunch with the locals”. Meet Anthea Ward, an award-wining local artist who has created many murals and entry statements around the Harvey Region. Anthea will talk about the inspiration behind her designs, the stories that her artwork tells, and how she created some of the pieces.
