Author Talk with Ruth and Don Pollock

Author Talk with Ruth and Don Pollock
Wednesday, 9 July 2025
1.00pm to 2.00pm

Come along to Australind Library and hear Ruth and Don Pollock discuss their publishing journey.

Join Ruth and Don Pollock at Australind Library for an engaging discussion about their journey to publishing their books.

About the authors:

The COVID pandemic brought unexpected changes for the Pollocks, leading them to close their successful business, sell their home in the mountains of Victoria, and embrace a new life by the sea in Batemans Bay.

Ruth's first novel, "Clouds and Sunshine" (Sid Harta Publishers, 2022), is a work of fiction that complements her family history, "Hard Women." "Hard Women" compares the lives of women in 19th century Sweden and Australia, spanning from 1870 to 2021.

Don is the author of "Suggy’s Men", now in its second edition following its initial success in 2016. The book draws heavily on personal experiences related to the Vietnam War and its aftermath.

Together they will discuss the journey of publishing their books.
