South West Japan Festival

A JOURNEY THROUGH JAPAN AT THE AUSTRALIND LIBRARY

Come and get a taste of Japan at the Australind Library this September!

The Library will be hosting an all-day Japanese culture event on Monday, 15 September 2025. 

Check out:

• Japanese Storytime
• Origami crafts - fold and create with easy-to-follow guides
• Koi kite making - design and decorate your own flying fish
• Chopstick challenge - test your dexterity with a fun twist!
• Japanese treats to share
• Plus, a cosy tatami-style reading corner to relax between activities.

The Library will also be decorated between 15 September and 19 September and feature Japan-inspired books displayed at the entrance.

This event is part of the 2025 South West Japan Festival.
