Short Term Rental Accommodation
Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) that is unhosted requires Development Approval for a ‘change of use’.
For unhosted STRA that are already operating without a Development Approval, there is an additional application fee of $590 (twice the standard ‘change of use’ fee of $295) as a penalty.

Hipcamps
Many landowners make their land available through platforms such as Hipcamp or Wikicamps for caravan stays and camping. This is generally a low-impact use of the land; however it does require the landowner to obtain relevant approvals from the Shire of Harvey.
