Declarations and Registers of Interest

Register of Interests

The Register of Interests contains all disclosures of interests that have been made by Elected Members and employees at Council and Committee Meetings. Interests that are required to be disclosed include financial interests, proximity interests and impartiality interests.

Financial Interest

An elected member or Shire Officer is required to declare a Financial Interest if it is reasonably expected that a Council decision could cause a financial impact.

Proximity Interest

An elected member or Shire Officer is required to declare a proximity interest if it is reasonably expected that a Council decision will impact land adjoining the individuals, their employer or closely related persons land.

Impartiality Interest 

An elected member or Shire Officer is required to declare an impartiality interest if it is or could be reasonably expected that the individual has a conflict of interest that impacts their ability to make an unbiased decision.
